SAP C_DBADM : SAP Certified - Database Administrator - SAP HANA

A regional specialty foods company is rehearsing a phased move from SAP HANA on-premises to SAP HANA Cloud. The migration transfer completes, and database explorer can query the cloud target. During validation, the administrator finds that the cloud-side backup review was performed before the imported content was available, while monitoring review was performed after import. The project lead wants approval because both checks appear in the workbook.
The constraint is that the migration wave must prove target administration readiness after the migrated state exists. The team needs repeatable validation evidence for later waves, not a checklist that mixes pre-import and post-import states.
What should the administrator recommend?

• A. pprove the rehearsal because both backup review and monitoring review are present in the validation workbook.
• B. efer backup review until after production cutover because monitoring was already validated after import.
• C. epeat the target-side backup review after import, confirm monitoring evidence for the same migrated state, and approve only if both pass.
• D. epeat only the data transfer because the timing mismatch indicates that the imported content may not have reached the cloud target.

CHALLENGE 4 — Service Continuity Recovery Gate
The service lead can accept hypercare readiness on schedule using backup completion evidence, or delay briefly to include recovery validation for the stabilization database and recoverability evidence for the upgraded system. Which path is most defensible?

• A. ancel the readiness decision because recovery validation was not completed before testing began.
• B. ccept on schedule because meeting the service review date is the strongest governance outcome.
• C. ccept on schedule and attach recovery validation to the future SAP HANA Cloud migration plan.
• D. elay briefly to complete recoverability evidence for systems supporting the readiness package.

CHALLENGE 2 — Outage Analytics Monitoring Baseline Early-morning incident simulation reports showed variable response time, and the operations lead requests tuning before the next service review. The monitoring baseline has not been fully captured, and some thresholds still reflect the pre-hypercare reporting profile. What should the database owner do first?

• A. apture the current monitoring baseline and validate threshold relevance before tuning.
• B. isable incident simulation alerts so the next review focuses only on report completion.
• C. ove the tuning decision to SAP HANA Cloud because future analytics may migrate there.
• D. pply tuning immediately because outage analytics affects service operations readiness.

CHALLENGE 3 — Cloud Migration Readiness Separation The modernization lead wants the SAP HANA Cloud database included in the same release readiness status because it is provisioned and has a limited activation dataset. The cloud environment has not completed the startup, monitoring, or recovery evidence package used for active UAT systems. What is the best response?

• A. nclude the cloud database in the same status because provisioning and limited data show progress.
• B. eep cloud migration evidence separate until cloud-specific administration validation is completed.
• C. top cloud planning until the current UAT release decision is fully completed.
• D. se the upgraded reporting system’s monitoring record as the SAP HANA Cloud readiness record.

CHALLENGE 4 — Close Recovery Readiness Gate
The sponsor asks whether the first close package can be approved now because backups completed and reports loaded successfully. The administration lead can either approve now or delay briefly to complete recovery evidence for the systems in scope. Which path is most defensible?

• A. elay briefly to complete recoverability evidence before first close sign-off.
• B. pprove now because report loading and backup completion satisfy close-cycle needs.
• C. ancel the close rehearsal because recovery validation was not completed before reporting began.
• D. pprove now and attach recovery validation to the later SAP HANA Cloud transition plan.
